VICE PRESIDENT OF LIVE CATTLE SUPPLY
The VP of Live Cattle Supply will be accountable to the CEO for member cattle recruitment, onboarding, program compliance, and performance communication; coordination of live cattle supply; meeting harvest head count, hot carcass weight, and grading targets; and assuring feeding partner program & SOP compliance.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The VP of Live Cattle Supply will report directly to the CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member Recruitment
- Identifying prospective members.
- Articulating value proposition to prospective members.
- Managing prospective member list and assigning ‘closer’ responsibilities as necessary, i.e., requesting Production, CEO, Director, or existing member support to close prospective members.
- Developing novel solutions for barriers to retained ownership, i.e., partnerships, CNB financing Cashflow, etc.
- New membership placements to meet co-op target head counts.
- Member Supply Coordination
- Member program compliance and providing audit support as necessary.
- New member onboarding program.
- Member program paperwork submission.
- Communication between members & finishing facilities to coordinate placement locations, head counts, weights, times, etc.
- Coordination with Procurement
- Coordinating with procurement to fill supply needs with purchased cattle.
- Communication between procurement and finance regarding purchase cattle forecasts, breakevens, and co-op priorities.
- Finishing Facilities
- Monitoring & securing facility compliance with CNB programs & SOPs.
- Coordinating placement head counts, weights & timing.
- Identification of potential new finishing facilities to meet co-op goals & objectives.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
The VP of Live Cattle Supply will be based out of the Pacific Northwest. Extensive travel would be required across multiple states: attendance at all CNB meetings, recruiting function trips and visits, and weekly feeding facility visits would be necessary.
