COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

The Compliance Coordinator will serve three primary functions: 1) Maintain current records for compliance paperwork across the supply chain 2) Coordinate with members, partners, regulatory entities and customers to ensure compliance 3) Submit compliance paperwork through various compliance portals and to various parties as needed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The Compliance Coordinator will report directly to the VP of Marketing & Communication.

KEY CHALLENGES

  • Maintaining current records for compliance paperwork across the supply chain.
  • Staying on top of regulation requirements and forms
  • Navigating program integrity with member participation
  • Submit compliance paperwork through various portals and to various parties as needed
  • Collaboration between multiple teams, entities, agencies, and members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain current records for compliance of CNB’s cattle (raising standards) and product (food safety, etc.)
  • Ensure CNB’s attributes (G.A.P 4, Grazewell, etc.) are defensible, documented, up to date and valid.
  • Maintain all necessary paperwork, renewal deadlines, and communications related to compliance and chain of custody of raising standards and cattle within the program.
  • Ensure every group of cattle comes in with appropriate paperwork.
  • Serve as the liaison between CNB and auditing companies (Earth Claims, WFCF, USDA, etc.).
  • Ensure all attributes meet regulatory standards and are of utmost integrity by working with services such as USDA PVP.
  • Maintain current records for compliance documentation between packing plants and feedyards
  • Food safety audits, animal welfare audits, letters of guarantee, GAP certificates, etc.
  • Navigate various compliance portals to upload documents
  • Tracegains, FoodLogiq, Repositrak, etc.
  • Complete supplier compliance questionnaires and forms
  • Support internal teams
  • Collaborate with sales team to fill customer documentation requests
  • Support Attributes Coordinator in development of new attribute processes
  • Keep Membership Director and other teams informed of compliance status and roadblocks of members
  • Serve as compliance expert in conversations about program changes and help identify optimizations or roadblocks in new processes related to program compliance
  • Member/Partner compliance support
  • Serve as the point of contact and support for CNB membership, working to ensure ease of doing business and clarity for implementation
  • Onboard members and partners to ensure program compliance protocols are implemented successfully and in a timely fashion.
  • Assist feedyards with audit compliance related to our products (GAP 4, Grazewell, etc.)

FIRST YEAR SUCCESS

  • Successfully transition CNB program compliance responsibilities within first 90 days.
  • Build (first 90 days) and execute (by September 30, 2025) a robust plan of action for raising standards compliance as well as systems/documentation to track compliance and timelines.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

The Compliance Coordinator will be based out of the Pacific Northwest. Annual overnight travel is estimated at approximately 15% which includes participation in company meetings, membership events, ranch visits, and/or professional development opportunities.

  • Basic understanding of the beef supply chain preferred
