Honey BBQ Crockpot Meatballs

Easy to prep ahead and keep warm in the crockpot; they’re the perfect hands-off party snack that disappears before halftime.

Ingredients
  

Meatballs
  • 1 lb. 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
Sauce
  • 1 cup favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup grape jelly

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the mixture and roll into 1-inch meatballs. Place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  5. While meatballs are cooking, in a bowl whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, and grape jelly until combined.
  6. Add cooked meatballs to a crockpot and pour sauce over the top.
  7. Cook on high for 15 minutes or on low for 30 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired, and serve with toothpicks.

Notes

Prep your meatballs in advance by following the recipe above and allowing cooked meatballs to cool. Then add meatballs to an airtight container and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
