Pratt Family Ranch

Southeast Idaho

Nestled in the scenic sandhills and floodplains of Southeastern Idaho, the Pratt Ranch is home to Mark and Wendy Pratt and their family, who have been producing top-quality cattle for over two decades as proud members of the Country Natural Beef Cooperative.

The Pratt family’s ranching legacy began in 1904 with Mark’s great-grandfather’s homestead. Since then, the ranch has grown, with a deep commitment to preserving the natural landscape of the sandhills and flood ground, shaped over thousands of years. Each summer, their herd is walked to range ground in the breathtaking Blackfoot River watershed.

Generational stewardship is at the heart of the Pratt Ranch. Today, multiple generations work side by side, blending experience and innovation while keeping land health and preservation front and center.

The Pratts are deeply involved in the cattle industry and contribute to many organizations that support agriculture and land stewardship. Their active roles include
participation in the Idaho Cattle Association, Water District and Canal Boards, Soil and Water Conservation Boards, the Idaho Department of Agriculture, the Dairy Industry, Quivira Coalition, STAR Program, and the Farm Bureau.

When they’re not tending to their herd or enhancing the land, the Pratt family enjoys a wide range of activities—from border collie stockmanship and rock climbing to gardening, fishing, mountain biking, writing, cooking, and spending quality time together.
