At Country Natural Beef, our commitment goes beyond providing premium, sustainably raised beef. We believe in supporting our communities, fostering connections, and making a real difference where it counts. That’s why we are thrilled to share the success of our Choose Beef. Give Back. holiday campaign, which led to $5,000 donations to the Oregon Food Bank and San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
Commitment to Community
The Choose Beef. Give Back. campaign was simple but powerful: for every pound of roast, stew, or ground beef purchased during the holiday season, CNB pledged to donate $1 to the food banks. Thanks to the incredible support of our customers and partners, we reached our goal—helping to provide thousands of meals for those facing food insecurity.
The Oregon Food Bank donation took place at CNB co-op member Gary Bailey’s ranch on Sauvie Island, outside Portland, OR. Gary and fellow co-op member, Dan Barnhart, presented the check to Oregon Food Bank spokesperson Rose Williams-Guevara, who was there with her colleague, Kathryn.
“Dan and Gary—Kathryn and I are so grateful for how much time you took with us today. It means a lot that you wanted to get to know us, our work, and to share the story of how the cooperative came to be, how you all work together, and how you navigate the ranching industry. It warmed my heart to learn that you all do sampling at grocery stores to be able to connect with your customers directly. That kind of personal touch goes a long way!” Rose later wrote in a Thank You email.
Dan returned the sentiment, thanking them for their work to ensure Oregonians have good food to eat. “You both showed your enthusiasm for working with producers of good food and helping the needy in our communities. On behalf of the other ranchers in the Country Natural Beef co-op, Gary and I were proud to ceremoniously make our gift to the Food Bank.”
Doing the Right Thing—For People, Animals, and the Planet
Our commitment to do the right thing—for people, animals, and the planet—doesn’t stop here. Our cooperative of nearly 100 ranching families takes pride in producing beef with integrity—ensuring the choices we make today create a better tomorrow.
And we can’t do it alone. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed by purchasing CNB products this past holiday season. Together, we can continue making a meaningful impact—one meal, one family, and one community at a time.
