Dunham Ranch

Joseph, OR

Jim and Connie Dunham are the proud owner-operators of Dunham Ranch LLC, located North of Enterprise in beautiful Wallowa County, Oregon. Jim purchased the original ranch from his parents in 1960, and together, he and Connie have spent decades building and expanding their cattle operation.

Over the years, they have added to the ranch by acquiring calving grounds near Joseph, Oregon, and additional summer pastureland. Since marrying in 1977, Jim and Connie have grown their herd to approximately 350 head of cattle.

The Dunham’s have been dedicated members of the Country Natural Beef Cooperative for over 20 years. In addition to raising cattle, they also grow their own hay, barley, and oats to feed their herd, ensuring a sustainable operation.

Committed to stewardship and sustainability, Jim and Connie continually work to improve herd genetics and enhance the ranch’s large, wooded areas to support healthy
habitats for deer, elk, and other local wildlife.

Their involvement in the ranching community runs deep. Jim and Connie are active in their local Cattlemen’s Association, and Connie has served as President of the local
Cattlewomen’s group where she also participated in the Beef in Schools program, helping educate youth about agriculture and beef production.

Beyond ranching, Connie has a passion for raising and competing with warmblood horses, even hosting a show on the ranch. She also raises pug dogs and competes in shows for titles. Together, Jim and Connie enjoy outdoor adventures and traveling to visit friends in Germany and Alaska, as well as Connie’s family in Kauai.
