Burger Bowls - Ready in Under 30 minutes or Do An Easy & Fun Burger Bar
A Burger Bowl is such a great option for a busy weeknight and these bowls of goodness come together quickly and pack so much flavor!
Caramelized Onion
- 1 sweet yellow onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Burger Bowls
- 1lb Country Natural Beef Butcher's Blend Ground Beef
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 2-4 cups butter lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2-4 slices purple onion
- 4 pieces bacon, cooked and roughly chopped
- 8 burger pickles
- 1 avocado, sliced
Instructions
Step 1 - Mix your special sauce ingredients together
- ½ cup paleo mayo
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
- ½ teaspoon pickle juice
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon coconut aminos
- ½ teaspoon rice vinegar
Set aside until the remaining ingredients are ready
Step 2 - Caramelize your onions
- Bring large cast iron skillet to medium-high heat
- Add olive oil and move it around so that the entire pan is coated
- Add onion slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Move onions around the pan and bring heat down to medium once onions start to cook down
- Continue cooking onions 15-30 minutes, turning heat down as necessary, until they start to turn golden brown
- Once onions are golden brown, turn off heat and set aside until the rest of the meal is ready
Step 3 - Cook your beef with the seasoning
- Bring large cast iron skillet to medium-high heat
- Add ground beef, kosher salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder
- Stir to combine and continue cooking/stirring until meat is cooked through
- Pour off any grease
- Taste and adjust any salt/seasoning as desired
Step 4 - Put all your burger bowl ingredients into a bowl
- Divide lettuce, tomatoes, purple onion, bacon, pickles and avocado between two bowls
- Divide the cooked hamburger and caramelized onions between the two bowls
- Finally, top with as much Special Sauce as you want
