Ranchers

Withers Ranch, Summer Lake, Ore.

Alan Wither’s family has been connected to the green valleys of Summer Lake, Ore., since 1871 — when Alan’s great grandfather homesteaded Withers Ranch.

Today, fourth and fifth generations of the Withers family manage the ranch.

“We believe in preserving the land and the products we produce to raise healthy beef,” Alan says.“We intend to leave this land in better shape than we found it.”

The sustainability mind-set at Withers Ranch ensures future generations will continue the family’s mindful care of the land and cattle.

“It has been a great place to raise our children,” Alan says. “They have learned to be hard workers and are careful with the land and cattle. We are proud to be here.”

They’re also proud to be a member of Country Natural Beef.

“The best part is the great people that belong to this group. They are good, clean, hard-working folks and have helped us to provide a beef product that is healthy for our buyers,” Alan says. “The program helps us make a small profit as we raise beef for the consumers. We are proud of the type of cattle we produce and the way we raise them. This is our home and a place we love and care for. It is a great lifestyle.”
